Children throughout the school took part in a day of fun-filled maths activities as part of an international numeracy event.
Each class from reception to Year 6 were given reasoning problems to suit their abilities as a break from their normal maths lessons. The pupils then had to articulate their answers.
Maths subject leader, Miss Newman, said: “You could really feel the maths’ buzz around the school! In Year 6 it was wonderful to see group work and peer teaching amongst the pupils as they used it as an opportunity to share their skills and ideas with each other.”
World Maths Day was internationally celebrated on 7th March but due to a packed programme of events at school, we celebrated it on Monday 12th March.
