Breakfast and After School Club has opened
An exciting new provision for before and after school child care has now opened at Elsenham C. E. Primary. We are delighted to offer this great new provision for parents following feedback from a Parents’ Survey held before Christmas. We were told that this additional childcare would be of huge benefit to those who attend the school and would really help parents who work, or who need extra support, on a school day.
The clubs are staffed by members of the current school staff team and opened their doors to the first pupils on Monday 14th January.
The Breakfast Club runs from 7.30-8.45am and costs £2 per day. There is a choice of toast/cereal or equivalent, with fruit juice, squash or water.
The After School Club runs from 3.15-5.45pm and costs £4 per day: a light snack is offered to children that attend.
The expansion of the school has meant that we can offer more support to parents and pupils in this way due to the extra space.
Places need to be booked and paid for in advance, either on a monthly or termly basis. They can be booked on a full time or part-time basis, with defined dates agreed in advance. We are unable to offer an ad hoc service.
We have tried to keep costs as low as possible for parents however the cost of each session will be fixed, irrespective of the period of time the children are present. For example, there will be no reduction for children who arrive at 8am or leave at 5pm.
Children who attend other after school activities on site will be escorted between the clubs but there will no reduction of costs for the time spent in other after school club provision. This is due to the fact that our staff need to be paid for the full session they cover.
For more information, please call Mrs Winder our Office Manager, who will be happy to discuss it with you.
