Meet FOES – Friends of Elsenham School (Registered Charity Number: 28872)

Welcome to FOES 26-27!

We’re your new PTA team: Hollie (Chair), Marta (Vice Chair), Rebecca (Secretary) and Mark (Treasurer) and we’re so excited to get started!

Our aim is simple, to bring our school community together, raise money for the children and make school life even more fun.

But FOES isn’t just the four of us - it’s all of us! We want every parent and carer to feel welcome, involved and able to have their say.

Got an idea? Tell us!

Fancy a particular event? Have a brilliant fundraising idea? Know a local business that could help? Or simply think there’s something the children would love?

We want to hear it! The best FOES ideas will come from the people who know our school and children best - you!

Keep an eye out!

We now have two FOES representatives for every year group. They’ll be your go-to people if you don’t see one of the main FOES team, and they’ll be sharing news, dates, requests and opportunities to get involved through your year-group WhatsApp groups.

Help when you can - no long-term commitment required!

One of the biggest things we want to make clear is that joining FOES does NOT mean signing up to everything all year!

We know everyone is busy. You might be able to help at one event, donate something for another, bake a cake, sell raffle tickets, or simply turn up and support an event with your family.

Every little bit helps.

We’ll ask for volunteers on an event-by-event basis, so you can help when you’re able to - with absolutely no pressure or expectation that you’ll be available every time.

And sometimes, the best support of all is simply coming along, getting involved and enjoying the events we put on for our children.

We have lots of exciting ideas already, but we want FOES to be shaped by our whole school community. So please come and talk to us, share your ideas, volunteer when you can and, most importantly, get involved!

Together, we can make a real difference to our children’s school experience - while hopefully having a lot of fun along the way.
