Year 6 have been getting stuck into Tag Rugby over the last few weeks, developing their skills and learning what makes an effective team.

We started by focusing on the fundamentals: footwork, changing direction, accelerating into space and accurate passing. As the weeks have progressed, pupils have been introduced to more pressure through 2v1 and 3v2 situations, learning when to run, when to pass and how to create space for their teammates. We have also started putting these skills into practice through small-sided games, where pupils have had to communicate, work together and make quick decisions under pressure. There has been plenty of energy, enthusiasm and some excellent teamwork from Year 6.
