We want our children to have practical and meaningful experiences with Design and Technology; to have opportunities to create real, purposeful products, bring their ideas to realisation and solve problems. We aim for them to leave school as inspired, industrious and creative individuals, who have the skills and knowledge to engage positively with design in their modern world.

D&T Learning Update!

Our D&T Leaders in Learning, Acacia and Eleanor, were bubbling with excitement as they kicked off their first session of designing and creating a sensory rocket with Kit and Oakley from Year 1.

First, they discussed Kit and Oakley’s ideas with them. Then, they let them draw their ideas and talk about how they wanted their rockets to sound and feel. Acacia and Eleanor drew their interpretation in drawing form and annotated them.  Finding materials and testing them was great fun and then the creating began. We are looking forward to finishing them in the next session.
